New Dairy One Services - February
2005
Responding
to changes and demands in the marketplace, Dairy One is proud
to introduce new packages and pricing for 2005. The biggest
changes are in our NIR services. Components have been added
and the price reduced to bring you the best value
for your forage analysis dollar.

NIR
services. The number of NIR packages is being reduced
from eight to three. At the same time, the number of nutrients
included has been increased and the price reduced. The new
packages are designated by feed type, simplifying the package
selection process. The price for all NIR services is $14.

VFA
Score a numerical index based on the lactic, acetic
and butyric acid concentration of the silage. Score will range
from 0 - 10, with higher scores indicating better fermentations.
Similar to RFV in concept, the score will give you an idea
how well the silage is being managed. The score will be generated
with each forage wet chemistry Fermentation Profile. Additionally,
we are building a NIR database for performing VFA analyses.
We do not have the ability to generate a full fermentation
profile by NIR, but we can generate the VFA Score. A VFA Score
will automatically be reported for silages analyzed using
(321) NIR Forage package. Low scores should prompt you to
do a complete wet chemistry Fermentation Profile to locate
problem areas in the silage management program. Click
here for more information. |

the above, all other packages and pricing are unchanged. Please
